Enraged elephant burst into the streets of the Indian city

It will be difficult for most of us to imagine a situation when a giant, enraged elephant rushes at us and needs to do something. But the residents of the Indian city of Siliguri can imagine such a picture quite clearly, since this year they had to personally find themselves in similar circumstances.

The city of Siliguri is located in India, in the state of West Bengal. Its inhabitants went about their business as usual, when suddenly an enraged elephant burst into the streets and made a real commotion.

Before reaching the city, the multi-ton giant needed to cross the forest and a small river. Perhaps somewhere along the way he was hurt.

When the elephant got into the city, he panicked. He began to destroy houses, crash parked motorcycles and cars.

About a hundred residential buildings suffered from his fit of rage, and residents began to panic.

People did not understand what to do and where to run. The animal brought wild chaos to the city.

The wildlife conservation officers who arrived at the scene made an attempt to immobilize the angry beast with ropes, but nothing came of it.

Then the elephant was injected with a dose of a tranquilizer and, using a crane, the animal was loaded into a truck to take him back to the forest, away from the city.

The Asian elephant is the second largest animal that lives on the land of our planet, so you can easily understand the panic of local residents who are faced with its strength.

Indian elephants, although inferior in size to African ones, nevertheless look no less impressive. Their mass can reach 5.4 tons, and a height of 3.5 meters.
