Secrets of the circus du Soleil

If you decide to bring a grand show somewhere, then think carefully. In principle, the idea itself is beautiful and certainly deserves praise from the grateful audience. But how much trouble!

The guys from the Cirque du Soleil are well done, not afraid of organizational difficulties. When I went to the rehearsal and the show, I learned so much that I now respect them even more.

The show is called Dralion. Made, like all Dusolev programs, very colorful and high quality.

All the scenery and costumes fit in twenty-five hefty containers. Even two Boeing 747s will not be enough to transport them.

The total weight of the entire "show" is 166 tons.

Naturally, to manage with 166 tons, a couple of people will not be enough. Therefore, 25 technical specialists are touring with a creative team. But there will be very few of them in order to deploy the scenery in a couple of days, so upon arrival in a new city, 80-100 local craftsmen join them. While everything is being installed, the artists have 1-2 days off.

The usual scene of the Palace of Sports circus performers will not work. Give them a special one with hatches, magnetic panels and an elevator that can lift more than 450 kg. While the artists got acquainted with Red Square and were looking for a gold chain with an oak in the Pushkin Museum, technical staff gathered their place of work.

The main wall weighs 11 tons with all the equipment installed on it.

The wall has many different purposes. Firstly, she is beautiful. Secondly, a bunch of lighting and other equipment is attached to it. She also separates the scene from the backstage, and people fall from it.

People fall not because it is slippery, but because it is part of the show. A special trampoline is installed at the bottom of the flight. During the rehearsal, someone was bored and they decided to find out what would happen if they also put mats on the trampoline.

At the very performance, these mats were not noticed by me. But bright lighting effects, magical music and exciting tricks were noticed.

Some rooms do not require super complicated and heavy fixtures. A simple enough props known to everyone since childhood.
Here boxers, for example, jump rope every training session, but they are unlikely to be able to.

Rehearsing tricks is not enough. During the show, someone must follow everything and lead everyone. Such an important position is called a stage manager. There are three in Dralion: one senior and two privates.

The stage manager is responsible for what, where and when in the show; makes sure everything is always on time; gives the command to start artists who are waiting for their release behind, under or above the stage; Looks for the props to be in order. For this, the stage manager has walkie-talkies, a panel with a bunch of buttons and a monitor.

You can also talk a lot about the round thing at the top. What is only the name - Superfarm.

It weighs 12,500 kilograms and consists of three aluminum rims. The first is a platform for performers and technical personnel, the second is a suspension for all equipment, and the third can lower and rise, taking with them artists under the roof.

Being honest is not only right, but also convenient. So artists are not dependent on "plywood" and can work more calmly, and stage managers and their colleagues responsible for the sound will see to it that everything is in the right rhythm.

Of course, a lot of lighting is involved in the show. More precisely, 72 controlled projectors and another 122 lighting fixtures.

During the show, the whole world is programmed and tuned, but lighting technician Jessica should still be on the alert. There are only three checks. One is this remote in front of the stage.

And in order to see the other two, you have to lift your head.

The show for the audience does not begin when the clowns enter the hall, but when a young, fragile girl climbs the rope ladder to such a top.

The team of actors includes 54 artists from 14 countries. All of them need to be resettled, fed, organized their work and leisure.

In addition, work in the show, albeit in an administrative position, but still brings important bonuses in the form of a healthy diet and an excellent fitness instructor.
