Burma. Network dance

Every day, boats with fishermen go to Lake Tauntome at Ubane Bridge. They use a traditional and very beautiful way of fishing, which can be watched for hours.

First, the boat swims to the fishing spot:

Then the fisherman abruptly throws a large circular network with weights around the perimeter, which unfolds in the air:

The net falls smoothly into the water and, sinking to the bottom, covers with itself a fish that had the imprudence to swim to the boat:

Then the net is pulled out of the water, the catch is put into the boat and the whole process is repeated:

The movements of the fisherman are refined and elegant, so that sometimes he resembles a dance:

The main thing is not to swim too close so as not to get a lead weight on the head:

The fishermen on the lake are very friendly and do not mind temporarily exchanging fishing for posing:

Supports the longest and oldest teak bridge in the world:

Instead of sunset, we had fun shooting our boatman:
