Ethiopia launches world's first flight with only women working

A few weeks ago, Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopia’s state-owned carrier, conducted its first flight in the world, operated exclusively by women. An international flight is unusual in that only the fair sex work with it on land and in the air. In this way, the company demonstrates its support for gender equality policies.

This means that ladies (including mechanics, security guards, call center operators, dispatchers and crew) will ensure the safety of the flight from Addis Ababa to Bangkok, the management of the airliner, as well as the care of passengers, without the participation of men.

Ethiopian Airlines plans to significantly increase the number of women in the company, create more comfortable working conditions for them and expand career opportunities.

Ethiopian Airlines was founded in 1945 and operates flights to more than 50 cities around the world.
