Fantastic Baikal Grottoes

During abnormal frosts, minus 50 sensations in Ust-Barguzin, Lake Baikal firmly bound the ice cover and he stopped warming. Asleep.

The gap in the Barguzin Bay. This is a peculiar temperature seam of Baikal ice. Occurs every year in about the same place.

In Monakhovo, in the Barguzinsky district of Buryatia, everything is calm, the bay is covered with snow, pagoda fungi are waiting for the summer and guests. Equipped places for recreation has become more.

You can shoot graphics, minimalism.

An unexpected stop at the very beginning of the journey slightly shifted our schedule, and we arrived, of course, later than planned, to the Goly Chivyrkuisky Bay of Lake Baikal. And maybe this is for the best: the light was wonderful, the setting sun set off a blue of bursts.

The grottoes became lower, the entrances to them, respectively, only crawling. Baikal has arrived well over the last rainy year, it has also splashed on the cliffs of the Naked.

At first we could not even find the entrances to the caves, the guys had to work with crowbars.

The world of icicles, stalactites and ice ceilings this year is much closer to visitors, where last year you could go to full growth, now it’s only creeping.

But over time, visitors break off icicles along the aisle.

So I had time to enjoy the virgin beauty only opened from the ice curtain of the cave.

In the grottoes it is always warmer than on the ice outside, and in a freshly printed grotto you can even bask.

Ice sculptures are very diverse. At the entrance - with needles.

In depth - more familiar.

Shades - from transparent white to pure turquoise and emerald.

The icy world of caves is fragile and short-lived.

Maybe 10-20 people will have time to see the pristine beauty of the winter grotto.

And then the icicles will remain only high on the ceiling.

Time in the grottoes flows faster, and when we went out, the sun was no longer visible, a cold hius blew out.

We did not begin to search and print the remaining grottoes, let them be lucky for someone else.
