Hitler's secret underground city in the Owl Mountains

The Germans built a secret underground city under the Xenz Castle in the Owl Mountains in Poland during World War II. According to some reports, in the future, he was supposed to become the headquarters of Adolf Hitler. Despite the efforts of the Third Reich to destroy all traces of the existence of a secret object, he nevertheless survived the war and survived to this day. True, now a military facility is a favorite place for tourists to walk. This plainly unexplored underground city with an area of over 10 square kilometers attracts lovers of the mysteries of history.

Of course, such a grandiose place could not but grow with many legends and rumors over the years. So, from the local residents you can hear the story that in the bowels of the underground corridors the Germans tried to develop a miracle weapon, thanks to which they would be guaranteed a victory. Another local theory is that it is here that the trail of the disappeared amber room, the famous masterpiece of art lost during the Second World War, leads. However, many data indicate that the Germans actually used the underground city in the Owl Mountains to store stolen works of art, valuables and goods.

The narrow-gauge railway track was well preserved underground, which is why historians suggest that the Germans planned to create several roads leading to the underground city.

According to historical documents, about 30 thousand Jewish prisoners of the Gross-Rosen concentration camp participated in the construction of underground tunnels, and many of them died here.

It is worth warning that the passage to some corridors of the dungeon is closed to visitors, since it is not safe to be there. And there are such tunnels that you can only travel by boat. In other words, visitors can see only a small part of a huge underground city.

It is likely that not all secret corridors and rooms were opened by researchers, as many sections of the retreating German soldiers simply blew up. So it is not known how many more secrets and surprises are hidden here.
