Game of Thrones-style ice hotel opens in Lapland

Game of Thrones fans who have long dreamed of visiting the mythical Seven Kingdoms can rejoice! And rather buy a ticket to Lapland.

HBO Nordic, in collaboration with Lapland Hotels SnowVillage, has created a themed hotel of snow and ice, dedicated to the cult series. The hotel is located in the resort of Kittilä, which is 200 km above the Arctic Circle and a 90-minute drive from Helsinki. The hotel has 24 rooms, 10 of which are apartments for guests who dare to spend the night in a "cool" setting.

Each of the rooms, designed by professional ice sculptors from around the world, is adorned with the ice figure of some character of the Games of Thrones. This is an incredibly outstanding and impressive sight.

The temperature inside is -5 ° C, so guests are provided with high-quality sleeping thermo bags, as well as various warming drinks.

The hotel recommends staying no more than one night to avoid hypothermia. But for those who want to extend their stay at SnowVillage, there are wonderful, warm and comfortable log cabins.
